Uploading Your Own Data Source

You have the option in Customer Data Platform to upload your own data source that came from outside of Momos.  Clicking on each data source you can see the type of data it has.

This will not automatically create an Audience, it will just upload your data which you can use to create your Audience.

You can learn more about creating an Audience here: Customer Data Platform.

To upload your own data source, click "Add New" at the bottom.

Name your data source and click "Next"

You then need to define the Data Type: Event or Trait.

  • Traits: Traits are pieces of information about a user.
  • Events: Events are pieces of information about something a user has done

You can read more about them here: Customer Data Platform : Momos Support Center. Adding a description is optional.

Then Select Source Type (where your data is from).

Select the Data Key:

  • Brand: Reflects the customer's interactions with the brand. Does not pertain to a specific location
  • Location: There should be an extra column of the location (If you select Trait as the data type, your data key will be Brand in default)

Then select the brand after you may upload your CSV file.

Your CSV should have a similar format below. Your first row will be your "Filter Name"

After you upload your data source it should look like this below. Please take one column should include an identifier (name, phone, email) and one with a date. You can only have a maximum of 20 columns.

You will then select the Type and create the Filter Name. Sometimes, it will automatically select the type if it can be identified (e.g. phone numbers or emails). Description is also optional. When you're done click"Next"

Click Upload and Finish

It will take a dew minutes for your data to be finished uploading.

Once done (Active), your data can now be filtered and used to create an audience.

You can edit your data again by clicking "Edit Schema"  in your Data Source list.

You can upload another CSV unto the same Data Source by clicking "Import".

You can also check the History of all the CSVs that were uploaded in the Data Source.
